Five Idaho State University faculty members honored with 2018 Outstanding Researcher Awards

POCATELLO – Five Idaho State University faculty members have received 2018 Outstanding Researcher Awards and will be honored at a reception on April 10. One Outstanding Researcher will receive the 2018 ISU Distinguished Researcher Award. The winner will be announced at ISU commencement on May 5.

POCATELLO – The 2018 inaugural STEM Professional of the Year Award was presented to Idaho State University physics Professor Steven L. Shropshire on behalf of the engineering programs at ISU and the Eastern Idaho Engineering Council (EIEC).

ISU to hold 13th Intermountain Gender and Sexuality Conference April 12-13

POCATELLO – More than 35 presenters from across the western United States will present at Idaho State University’s 13th Intermountain Gender and Sexuality Conference on April 12 and 13. The conference will begin at 1 p.m. on April 12 and 9 a.m. on April 13. Events will be held in the Rendezvous Complex Suites A and B.

POCATELLO -- Idaho State University’s College of Arts and Letters started its on-campus dual-enrollment pilot program in the fall of 2017 and has almost tripled the program’s size from 10 students to 29 in just one semester.

ISU student Camie Parsons uses chemistry to make mark on hair industry; creates new, healthy product for fixing damaged hair

POCATELLO – Camie Parsons, a current, nontraditional Idaho State University chemistry master’s student, never imagined that being a cosmetologist would prompt her to go back to college to study chemistry. She’s now a single mother to four kids, completing graduate school and starting a business based off her cosmetology and chemistry background.
