ISU chemistry student Orme’s research poster places second nationally; undergraduate appreciates research opportunities

POCATELLO – Idaho State University senior Kennalee Orme from Rexburg won second place for her research poster at the POLY Industrial Advisory Board sponsored Undergraduate Research in Polymer Science Symposium at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society this summer.

ISU chemistry Professor Jenkins lands $308k NSF grant to use waste sulfur to remove contaminants from wastewater, create greener glues

POCATELLO – Each year worldwide about 150 billion pounds of elemental sulfur waste is produced from refining crude oil and Idaho State University chemistry Assistant Professor Courtney Jenkins, assisted by a team of ISU undergraduate students, is trying to create functional materials from it.

PBS WWII Documentary featuring ISU students, faculty member will air July 16

POCATELLO  –  A World War II documentary featuring Idaho State University College of Business Assistant Professor Alex Bolinger and ISU students Ashley French, Dalene Hunter, Sophia Perry and Kathryn Rose will air on Idaho Public Television at 8:30 p.m. July 16 as a part of Idaho Public Television’s Idaho Experience series.

ISU TRIO receives $2.1 million CAMP Grant from U.S. Department of Education

POCATELLO – Idaho State University TRIO Access and Opportunity Programs has been awarded a five-year College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) grant in the amount of $2.125 million from the U.S. Department of Education.
