Free flu shots and basic physical exams offered at ISU/Ada County health screening Oct. 18

BOISE – Free flu shots while supplies last, basic physical and dental exams, and onsite testing for blood sugar levels and cholesterol are included in free services offered at a community health screening Thursday, Oct. 18, 4-7 p.m., at Garfield Elementary School, 1914 Broadway Ave., in Boise.

Pocatello Ski Swap to be held on Nov. 2 and 3

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group, in conjunction with Pocatello Ski Association, Pebble Creek Junior Race Team and Pebble Creek Ski Patrol, will host the Pocatello Ski Swap on Nov. 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 ISU Honors Program student Caleb Renner excels at NASA summer internship

POCATELLO – Caleb Renner, a junior in the Idaho State University Honors Program, earned a summer internship at the NASA Ames Research Center in California to work on his project titled “Porosity and Permeability of Basaltic Rocks and their Alteration States: Implications for the Habitability of Microbial Life in Volcanic Rocks on Earth and Mars.”
