Idaho State launches mandatory COVID-19 screening program

POCATELLO – Idaho State University will implement a mandatory COVID-19 screening program at the start of the spring semester for all students, faculty, and staff with a physical on-campus presence. The COVID-19 screening involves a non-invasive, saliva-based sample. The sample will be self collected as part of the screening process.

Local Vickers Family establishes a scholarship endowment at the ISU College of Business

POCATELLO – Most anyone from Pocatello or the surrounding area is familiar with Vickers Western Store on Yellowstone Avenue, or on North Holmes Avenue in Idaho Falls. ISU biology professor Bruce Finney helps discover variation in ancient native Alaskan diet

POCATELLO – Idaho State University Biological sciences and Geosciences Professor Bruce Finney contributed to a new research paper titled “Ancient Beringian paleodiets revealed through multiproxy stable isotope analysis,” which found that about 11,500 years ago native Alaskans had a diet that featured both land animals and salmon.
