ISU faculty recital to feature piece by Hugo Wolf on March 8

POCATELLO-- Idaho State University voice faculty members Diana Livingston Friedley, soprano, Geoffrey Friedley, tenor, and Mark Neiwirth, pianist, will perform Hugo Wolf’s “Spanisches Liederbuch” on March 8 at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Idaho Museum of Natural History researchers receive grant to digitally scan bones of California blue whale

POCATELLO – The Idaho Museum of Natural History and Idaho State University received a $20,000 award from the National Science Foundation in January to scan the entire skeleton of a blue whale that washed ashore in California. The skeleton is at the Noyo Center for Marine Science in Fort Bragg, California.

Fire Extinguished at Rendezvous Building

POCATELLO––On Friday evening just after 6 p.m., a fire was reported in the Rendezvous Building on the Idaho State University campus. Everyone inside the building at the time of the fire was able to safely evacuate, and no injuries were reported.

POCATELLO – Idaho State University Professor Emeritus and researcher Denise “Nina” Bowen, 64, passed away Feb. 17 as a result of a pulmonary aneurysm.
