ISU Choirs to host Mid-Winter Concert on Feb. 15

POCATELLO – The Idaho State University Choirs will host their Mid-Winter Concert on Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Psychology Professor and Recent Alum Publish Article on Childhood Sexual Abuse and Suicidal Ideation

Dr. Shannon Lynch and Dr. Chris DeCou, a recent graduate of the ISU Clinical Psychology PhD program, published a paper in the journal Child Abuse & Neglect documenting increased risk of suicidal ideation in inpatient adolescents with a history of childhood sexual abuse.

POCATELLO – On Feb. 8, Idaho State University Creative Writing will host nationally acclaimed poet and professor Robin Behn, who will give a poetry reading and a talk on teaching high school and college creative writing at 5:30 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.

Psychology Professor selected as American Psychological Association Expert Reviewer

Assistant professor of experimental psychology Erika Fulton has been selected as an expert reviewer for the Advisory Panel of the National Standards for High School Psychology Curricula. The group will revise national standards set by the American Psychological Association.

POCATELLO – The International Affairs Council of Idaho State University invites community members of Pocatello and surrounding areas to attend the 2019 Frank Church Symposium on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. This year’s theme “The Best and the Worst of Us: Confronting Injustices in the World” will bring together academics, refugees and activists debating the challenges and successes around environmental justice, refugee rights and minorities rights.
