About Field Camp & Cost

The Idaho State University Department of Geosciences offers a 5 week, 6-credit capstone course in field geology held at the beginning of summer each year. This nationally recognized course is hosted at the Lost River Field Station, located north of Mackay, Idaho. Our field program has a 6 decade history of providing students the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge accumulated during their undergraduate education in the stunningly scenic, and geologically rich Northern Rocky Mountains. Our program is open to students from universities outside ISU. If you are looking for a field camp program, we encourage you to apply! To learn more about our field camp program and the costs associated with our course, click the about Field Camp & Cost link below.
