Combined Coursework and Supervised Practice Schedule

The first Fall semester is dedicated to 12 credit hours of coursework. In the spring, summer, and fall semesters, students balance practicum rotations with additional courses.

Fall 2023, August 21 – December 16, 2023

August 21, classes/rotations resume
September 4, Labor Day Holiday, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
November 20 – 24, Thanksgiving break, no rotations
December 15, the planned program end date

Spring 2024, January 8 – May 4, 2024

Rotations begin January 8 and are scheduled Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week:

January 15, Martin Luther King holiday, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
February 19, President’s Day holiday, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
March 18 – 22, university spring break. Interns’ schedules may not match with the university spring break
April 11 & 12, 2024, IAND Annual Meeting, Moscow
April 29 - May 3, university finals week. Interns can anticipate working at rotations during finals week
May 6 - 10, university break between sessions. Interns may be scheduled at rotations during the university break

Summer 2024, May 13 – August 2, 2024

May 13, classes/rotations resume
May 27, Memorial Day holiday, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
June 17, Juneteenth, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
July 4, This holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
August 2, last day of summer session
August 5 – 9, university break between sessions; interns may be scheduled at rotations during the university break

Fall 2024, August 19 – December 13, 2024

August 19, classes/rotations resume
September 2, Labor Day Holiday, this holiday may be worked at a rotation dependent on facility observation of the holiday
November 25 – 29, Thanksgiving break, no rotations
December 13, the planned program end date
