Taking COVID-19 pandemic challenges in stride, the Idaho State University Disaster Response Center (DRC) is preparing to host multiple training events in the coming months to assist with the readiness and skill development of emergency responders. The DRC is currently working with local, regional, and state entities to host training events at its facilities on ISU campus in Pocatello.
Living organisms have continuous interactions and connections that contribute to life in and of itself. And a lot of the time, these interactions take place in ways that may not immediately come to mind. Dr. Joshua Grinath, a visiting assistant professor at Idaho State University, is studying ants,and they may be exhibiting connections in more ways than originally thought.
The Structural Laboratory (SLAB) within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Idaho State University received approximately $250,000 in upgrades and new equipment this year, including a new Visualization Laboratory. The labs offer the chance for many undergraduate and graduate students to apply their knowledge from the classroom toward groundbreaking research in civil engineering and multi-disciplinary projects.
