Science and Engineering Exploration Camps

Youth participating in chemistry activity at Science Trek 2023.

This summer, Idaho State University's College of Science and Engineering, in partnership with the Idaho Museum of Natural History and the Marshall Public Library, will host a series of FREE STEM activities for K-12 students. 

Below are the activities that are currently scheduled. If you have a question about an activity, please reach out to the course facilitator.  All activities are in Pocatello unless otherwise noted.

The Science and Engineering Exploration Camps are made possible through a grant from the NASA Idaho Space Grant Consortium.

Monday, July 1

Time: 9 - 10:30 a.m.

Age level: 2nd - 6th grade

Title: Robots

Description: Students will be introduced to a mobile robot platform with basic coding.

Title: Discovering the Brain

Description: Students will engage with virtual models and optical illusions, and learn what the brain does.
