Student Organizations
Scheduling and Event Services works with over 150 registered ISU Student Organizations to help ensure the successful execution of events ranging from club business meetings to large cultural celebrations.
Student Organizations may reserve event space at no charge. However, fees may be assessed for equipment, personnel, and cleaning if required.
Student Organizations may call or come into the office to reserve a room. The organization must be officially recognized by ASISU and registered with the Office of Student Organizations. The Scheduling and Events office does not require an Event Registration Form to complete a reservation. However, the office of Student Organizations requires an Event Registration Form to be completed for all student organizations events, with the exception of regualrly scheduled club business meetings. Reservations must be made at least 2 business days (48 hours) in advance.
All tentative reservations automatically expire five business days from the date reserved.
No outside food or beverages may be served in the Student Union, Rendezvous Complex, or on the campus of Idaho State University unless provided by Chartwells or with the permission of Chartwells through an approved catering exemption request.
Catering Exemption Request forms are available for recognized student organizations for their regularly scheduled meetings where members of the public are not invited. Compliance with Central District Health regulations is required. Forms may be picked up in the Chartwells Catering Office.
Approved/denied catering exemption requests should be completed and signed off by Chartwells and turned in along with your Event Registration Form to the Office of Student Organizations.
Recognized student organizations and University departments may schedule a table in the lobby of the Pond Student Union or Rendezvous five times a semester in each location.
Lobby and vendor table reservations must be made with a specific beginning and ending time and the table must be manned during the entirety of the reservation.
Material may not be left unmanned on any table. Tables will be set out 15 minutes prior to the reservation start time and will be removed directly after the reservation end time. Any unattended materials will be turned into Scheduling and Event Services.
