What is Continuity of Operations Planning?
Continuity of Operations Planning is a critical component to ensuring that critical research, teaching, and services are continued, or restored as quickly as possible during emergency situations that cause a disruption to mission essential activities.
The ISU Continuity of Operations Plan is maintained by the Department of Public Safety in collaboration with university leadership to address overarching priorities. Given the unique nature of individual units, colleges, departments, and critical research entities across campus, continuity planning at each of those levels is also essential.
The templates provided below assist campus entities in creating their own continuity plans. Please email completed plans to pubsafe@isu.edu. The Department of Public Safety is available for questions, or for assistance when completing the templates at (208) 282-2515.
