All students will complete the following course: 

PHAR 9912 -

120 Community IPPE hours to be completed within scheduled 3-week IPPE in the summer between P1 and P2 year
10 Service/outreach hours to be completed by April 15th of Spring semester P1 year

All students will complete the following course: 

PHAR 9914 -

40 hours of elective IPPE hours to be completed either during the summer between P2 and P3 year or during the P3 year within designated IPPE elective blocks. Elective IPPE hours must not interfere with scheduled Institutional IPPE hours. Elective IPPE hours are due April 15 of the student's P3 year.


10 Service/outreach hours to be completed by April 15th of Spring

Dates to remember:
All rotations in this year are done throughout their third year. These dates are flexible  based on preceptor and student schedules. 

Fourth year students are expected to complete seven 240 hour rotations that will enhance their skills in pharmacy practice.  They will complete 4 core rotations which include General Medicine, Ambulatory care, Advanced Institutional, and Advanced Community. They will then complete their choice of at least one Patient Care elective and up to two Non Patient Care elective rotations.


Students will be placed in one of six zones to complete their fourth year experiences.

These areas include:
Western Idaho
Eastern Idaho
Southern Idaho
Northern Idaho
Reno - Nevada
Alaska (This is reserved for our UAA campus students.)
