PHAR 9913:

120 hours Institutional IPPE hours to be completed within scheduled 3-week IPPE in the summer between P2 and P3 year*
10 Service/outreach hours to be completed by April 15th of Spring semester P2 year

* In the event a student needs to remediate a didactic course in the curriculum, the student’s IPPE will be scheduled during a rotation block during the winter break between Fall and Spring semester following successful completion of the summer remediation requirements.

40 hours of elective IPPE hours to be completed either during the summer between P2 and P3 year or during the P3 year within designated IPPE elective blocks. Elective IPPE hours must not interfere with scheduled Institutional IPPE hours. Elective IPPE hours are due April 15 of the student's P3 year.

All rotations in this year are done throughout their third year. 

Fourth year students are expected to complete seven 240 hour rotations that will enhance their skills in pharmacy practice.  They will complete 4 core rotations which include General Medicine, Ambulatory care, Advanced Institutional, and Advanced Community. They will then complete their choice of at least one Patient Care elective and up to two Non Patient Care elective rotations.

Students will be placed in one of six zones to complete their fourth year experiences. These areas include: Pocatello, Boise, Twin Falls, Coeur d'Alene, Reno, and Alaska.
