Also in 2021 she was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice, and in 2018 she was inducted as a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association.
Throughout the community she continues to volunteer her time locally with the Idaho Foodbank and nationally as chair of the Council of Deans on the AACP Board of Directors. She contributed to publications for several pharmaceutical journals in pharmacy education and practice.
Dr. Adams states in the Idaho Business Review that “it is my goal to make a positive difference in not only the lives of those I interact with daily, but also in the lives of those in my community, my state and my nation. In working with pharmacy scientists, clinicians and educators, I have learned that I possess skills that make me stand out. My ability to lead, motivate, and positively influence others is not common among my peers.”
