Over 35 Paraprofessionals Awarded Full-Tuition Scholarships to Become Certified Teachers

More than 35 paraprofessionals working in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 are set to receive full-tuition scholarships awarded by the Idaho State University College of Education to earn a college degree and teacher certification through the Paraprofessional to Certified Teacher (PaCT) program.

Retired Pocatello Principal Establishes Scholarship

From making sure her students and their families had enough to eat to spending one-on-one time to make sure each child felt safe, secure and ready to learn, caring has always been a part of Evelyn Robinson’s life. Now, Robinson, a retired elementary school principal, is empowering the next generation of leaders to do the same with the Evelyn Robinson Principal Leadership Scholarship.

First-Generation College Graduate Establishes $25,000 Endowment to Support First-Generation Students

Growing up in a farming community in rural Idaho in the 1960s, Dr. Blaine Nisson never imagined he would now be a retired college president. From his choice to become the first person in his family to go to college in 1968 to graduating with a doctoral degree in 2003, Nisson says he attributes all of his success and life accomplishments back to that one decision to attend Idaho State University.
