Google Data Limits Forum

Google will no longer provide ISU with unlimited data storage as part of our education service agreement with them. Adjustments may need to be made to your Google storage to avoid losing access to important files. Access to Google Photos will be turned off for students, faculty, and staff April 15th. All ISU Google Accounts will need to be under their storage limits by May 7, 2024.  Alumni and retirees are on a separate timeline. 

Given the impact this change will have on current practices at ISU, ITS held a forum on February 21st to provide more details and answer questions. That presentation and a recording of the entire forum are now available for those who may be interested by clicking the links here or looking on the Google Data Limits web page. 

An FAQ page has also been created to provide answers to specific questions. We invite you to check back frequently as both are updated often to provide more information as we move forward.
