Data Storage Solutions

When Google informed ISU that they were going to start limiting free data storage associated with education subscriptions, it became clear that ISU has many data storage needs that will not be met by the upcoming limits to individual data storage amounts. 

Renae Scott, ISU CIO, called for convening a Digital Storage Task Force to examine data storage needs and come up with long term solutions. That group has begun meeting, but remains a sizable distance from being finished.   

In the meantime, people are anxious to move their important materials to a place where they are safely stored and easily accessed.  ISU’s ITS department has put together a Data Storage Solutions page that has current data storage solutions.  We expect this list to change as we move forward with the task force.
