Activities

The ICHR engages in a variety of activities with the aim of fostering collaborative interprofessional research to promote wellness and improve health outcomes. Distance learning software and other technologies allow us to engage with researchers across ISU campuses, including Pocatello, Meridian, and Alaska.

Collaborative Hub
We serve as a central hub, connecting researchers with shared interests and disparate skills. Our team helps link researchers with ISU and external resources that can help optimize success. ICHR members also help each other talk through potential solutions and strategic approaches.

Meetings
The ICHR hosts 2 -3 meetings per semester with ISU faculty, offering an opportunity to network with other ISU researchers, identify potential collaborators, vet research proposals and gather expert feedback, and stay informed about research activities at ISU and beyond. Meeting activities are member-driven and have included:

  • Brainstorming on grant ideas
  • Research networking (speed dating)
  • Peer review of grant ideas/proposals, applications, and manuscripts
  • Mock grant reviews
