Bio
Dr. Hightower's primary research interests include multicultural and social justice counseling, with a focus on working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, and suicidality. She currently serves as an editorial board member for Teaching and Supervision in Counseling, membership chair for both the Rocky Mountain Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (RMACES) and Idaho Counseling Association (ICA) and a fellow with Counselor Education & Supervision.
She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University.
