Cybersecurity Training
In continued support of the State of Idaho’s executive order, Idaho State University faculty and staff are asked to join all other State employees in completing our annual Cybersecurity training.
The annual Cybersecurity training will include new modules intended to build on the content provided in past years, as we all work together to defend our state networks, faculty, staff, and students from cybercrime.
Direction for Accessing Cyber Security Training Modules in TMS
Google Chrome is the preferred browser to use. Historically, Internet Explorer and Firefox experience more issues launching the training.
- Log in to MyISU, and search for the “Talent Management System” card
- On the Talent Management System card, click on “Access Talent Management System”
- In the left hand corner, under “Your Action Items,” look for the following link: 2025 Cybersecurity Training
- When you find the assigned training module, click on it to launch and complete the content and required acknowledgement form.
- Once you have submitted your acknowledgement form the system will mark your required training as complete, and you will receive a completion email for your records.
Alternate Directions if Training is Not Listed on “Your Action Items” in TMS:
After logging into TMS, if you are not seeing the "2025 Cyber Security Training" listed on “Your Action Items” dashboard, please follow these steps:
- As a starting point, click on the “Your Action Items” hyperlink. The system will then take you to an expanded view of your action items list. Scroll down the page and look for the training module.
- If, after expanding “Your Action Items” you still don’t see the training module: 2025 Cybersecurity Training
- Click on “Learning” (orange section at the top), and Learner Home will show below
- Click “Learner Home.” It will say Hi (your name)! What would you like to learn today? In the search bar, type "2025 Cybersecurity Training."
- When you have located the training, click the link and complete the training as outlined above.
What you need to know:
- DHR requires all Cybersecurity training be completed to be eligible for a change in employee compensation (CEC) merit increase, should one be approved by the Legislature.
- HR is here to help. We are working closely with Idaho ITS to ensure this process works as smoothly as possible and will be diligently working with departments, managers, and supervisors to support the completion of this requirement for all ISU employees.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact training@isu.edu or call x2519.
