Fall 2024 Honors Envoys
Director's Assistant & Recruitment Envoy | Saige Rigby
My name is Saige Rigby and I am studying Biology (Biomedical Sciences) with hopes of attending dental school after completing my undergraduate degree. For as long as I can remember, I have been absolutely infatuated with birds and I am a huge birder! I am serving as the Director's Assistant Envoy for the Fall 2024 semester where I will work to prepare honors contracts for the Director to review and conduct internal research for the program.
Instructional Assistant Envoy | Shannon Hendricks
Hi everyone! My name is Shannon Hendricks, and I am a third-year microbiology student. I am also an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Julia Martin's lab and the treasurer/secretary for the microbiology club. Outside of school, I love to nerd out about Greek mythology, go to spooky antique stores, and collect neat trinkets. As one of the teaching assistant envoys, I help Conner plan, grade, and facilitate HONS 1100 in the fall and various classes in the spring.
Communications Envoy | Chelsea Blanchard
I am a junior majoring in Communications, rhetoric, media, and social change, with a minor in Deaf studies and advocacy. My goal is to pursue a PhD in Political Science to work in the academic, research, government, or non-profit sector. As the UHP Communications Envoy I am responsible for supporting the program's students, faculty, staff, and alumni by sharing the current UHP happenings and information through various UHP social media accounts and ISU communications avenues. I look forward to serving ISU's UHP community during the 2024/2025 school year.
Event Planning Envoy | Sean Phinney
Hello everyone! My name is Sean Phinney, and I am the Event Planning and Instruction Envoy. Within this role, I support UHP events and look for new opportunities to help Honors students grow socially and professionally. For the instruction portion of my job, I assist Conner in teaching sections of HONS 1100. In my spare time, you can find me climbing in the gym or playing soccer on Cadet Field. Also, I have a ton of fun playing in volleyball intramurals each semester. Currently, I'm spending a lot of my time looking at graduate school programs as I prepare to finish my degrees in Psychology and Sociology later this spring!
Information Management Envoy | Angela Trejo
My name is Angela Trejo and I’m a sophomore in Nuclear Engineering. I am an avid band kid and love anything marching band related! That love led me to become the color guard coach for Pocatello High School, which I’ve been doing for 2 years. As the Information Management Envoy, it is my job to assist Lori with the Honors website and recruitment materials. I’m excited to make the honors website better and consistently update it for our fellow honors students.
