Frog + Bucket = Frucket

No, no, you read that right! Frucket is a joke I made a few years back, and it’s stuck with me since! Hi, I'm Scooter McLane, an engineering major at ISU. I’m from Caldwell, Idaho, which is on the outskirts of the Boise area. In my life so far, I have been able to travel the world, which has allowed me to see multiple cultures and how we are all similar in our respective ways. I enjoy having meaningful conversations with my friends and professors.  As your average nerd, I’ve played my fair share of video games, yet I mainly like being outside. I enjoy playing sports, watching movies and TV shows, sleeping, and spending time with my dog, Mavis. This will be my first year mentoring, and I am very ecstatic to be able to bond with my mentees and help them with whatever they need.

In my short time here at ISU, I have connected with the staff and the communities around me. These connections have changed my perspective for the better, and I don’t know where I would be without them. The deep conversations I have had with my professors help me look at life in new ways. The feeling of knowing your professors want us to know the material, and want us to pass has helped encourage me. I have made plenty of friends here and have played a few intramurals, including Flag Football. I have also joined a group of ultimate frisbee players, which helps me relax after a long day of school. I am always open to chatting, so ask if you guys need anything!
