Probably Best Friends with Your Grandma
Despite being a 3rd year college student, a short description of my hobbies would probably lead one to think I was living in a nursing home. For the past few years, I have obsessed over crocheting, sewing, knitting, quilting, cross stitching, and doing puzzles! I have even started a small business crocheting stuffed animals and cross stitch patterns. I overall love any opportunity to utilize the creative, crafty parts of my brain!
Now to actually introduce myself, my name is Grace Cain, and I have absolutely loved being a part of the University Honors Program. This will be my second year mentoring, and my third year at ISU. I am majoring in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, I am pursing a Forensic Sciences certificate! I have a strong passion for learning, especially when it comes to anatomy and medical sciences. Along with school, I am currently researching gene expression in sex changing marine fish! To add to that, I am an assistant TA for the Advanced Anatomy and Physiology cadaver lab here at ISU while also working in the chemistry stockroom. Eventually, I am hoping to pursue medical school and become a forensic pathologist to conduct autopsies. Outside of classes, I also love to play intramural volleyball, as well as coach middle school and high school volleyball teams.
If you see me on campus, feel free to say hello!
