I am so excited to be a part of the University Honors Program (UHP) as a peer mentor! I'm from Idaho Falls and moved to Pocatello after high school to attend ISU. I have always enjoyed living in East Idaho because of the beautiful nature, fresh air, and open skies. I am studying Biology and Health Sciences because I am fascinated by human health and function. I am working toward attending a Physical Therapy Program so I can help struggling individuals achieve a healthy lifestyle. As a Physical Therapist I hope to work with all types of patients in various settings, with my end goal being to operate my own practice.
In addition to my studies, I volunteer at the Pocatello Free Health Clinic as a medical assistant. I assist the providers in providing healthcare to individuals in need, and have really enjoyed working with the patients, providers, and other volunteers. I am an Emergency Medical Technician and have worked as a wildland firefighter during the summers. This job has grown my appreciation for dedication, perseverance, and team-work, which I've applied to all aspects of my life. I am excited to continue my education at ISU and help other students with theirs.
