Dean of Students Office Resources

College is an exciting time for students. Opportunities for new experiences, advanced learning, and lots of personal growth are all part of the package. Sometimes these opportunities challenge students in new and trying ways. These are the times we hope students to reach out to the Dean of Students Office for help. We can connect you with helpful campus resources, guide you through university processes and procedures, support you during difficult situations, and provide a safe place to ask any question you might have.

Bengal Meal Share

The Bengal Meal Share Program supports students who are experiencing food insecurity. It's a short term solution intended to help students through a difficult time, while the Dean of Students Office works with them to find more permanent options. This helps ensure that fellow Bengal classmates have access to nutritious meals each day so they can stay focused on their studies and success.

Donate Meals

Students with full meal plans, and who are current on their Housing/Meal Plan payments can donate up to 10 meals per academic year to a pool for students in need of food.

Emergency Funding Opportunities

We understand that despite best efforts to plan, emergencies are a part of life. The Dean of Students Office helps manage two emergency options that are only available to Idaho State University Students.  Both our Emergency Fund and Emergency Scholarship opportunities have specific eligibility requirements and require documentation of how your situation is an emergency, meaning it was unforeseen and therefore could not have been planned/budgeted for.  Please note that neither of these funds can be used to cover tuition and fees.

About

This fund was created to assist and support Idaho State University students who encounter a one-time, unforeseen financial emergency that would prevent them from continuing their education here. The Dean of Students Office awards and distributes approved funds. The Emergency Fund is not intended to be used for routine/monthly expenses OR tuition and fees. Students are expected to develop budgets to plan for items that they should anticipate as part of the student experience (credit card bills, rent, utilities, etc.). These items are not considered unexpected or unforeseen.

Funds will only be awarded once during a student's academic career at ISU and up to (but not to exceed) $350. The Emergency Fund does not require repayment, but are considered taxable income and may impact future financial aid packages.
