Executive in Residence
The Executive in Residence program at the College of Business invites successful alumni to visit campus for a number of days. Throughout their visit, executives will present to a variety of classes, meet one-on-one with students, participate in panels, network with students and faculty, as well as hold a college-wide presentation. The Executive in Residence event is an incredible opportunity for College of Business undergraduate and graduate students to gain valuable connections with high level leaders in a variety of business fields and learn about their rise to success.
Todd Cooper, President and Head of Community Banking at Idaho First Bank | March 10-12

Todd Cooper has been with Idaho First Bank since January 2020 currently serving as President and Head of Community Banking, and also as a member of the board of directors. Previously holding the role of Chief Executive Officer, Cooper has been involved in every aspect of the bank’s operation since joining in 2020. During that time, the bank has experienced both significant growth and top quartile financial performance. In November 2023 Cooper led Idaho First through a transaction selling all outstanding shares of the bank holding company to a bank headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Prior to joining Idaho First Bank, he spent 30 years working for Wells Fargo and predecessor banks. During that time, he worked in multiple business lines advancing to senior leadership roles in both Auto Finance and Commercial Banking.
An active community leader, Cooper has served on boards of multiple non-profits including serving as former Board Chair of both the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County and the Boise Valley Economic Partnership. He currently serves as a Commissioner of the Boise Urban Renewal Agency, Capital City Development Corporation, and also is the Finance Committee Chair for the Board of Directors of the St. Luke's Health Plan. Cooper is a graduate of Idaho State University with an undergraduate degree in Finance and an MBA, and graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School.
