Lud and Linnea Pollak Scholarship Endowment
Lud and Linnea Pollak married and moved to Pocatello in 1923. Lud headed the Idaho Typewriter Exchange (later known as ITEX), an office equipment business eventually serving all of southern Idaho and parts of Wyoming and Montana. Both he and Linnea felt a deep commitment to the American dream, to their community, and to the importance of education. In 1979, the Pollaks established the endowment to encourage their grandchildren to pursue higher education and obtain degrees from accredited universities or colleges. The scholarship provides scholarships for students in the College of Business.
