2025-2026 FAFSA IS NOW AVAILABLE!

SPECIAL NOTE: ISU plans to begin importing and processing 2025-2026 FAFSA's in January 2025.

Wondering about the status of your 2024-2025 FAFSA at ISU? Please check your MyISU portal (find the "My Financial Aid" card, click on "My Financial Aid" and be sure that the "2024-2025 Academic Year" is selected in the upper righthand corner of your screen, then review for outstanding items on the "Home" tab) to make sure you have submitted all requested documents. We review submitted documents once a student has submitted all requested items.  You will receive an email to your ISU email once your FAFSA has been processed and an aid offer is made with instructions on how to view, accept, and authorize your aid.  Please contact our office if you have questions.

Applying for Financial Aid is Easy

  • To apply for federal student aid, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually.
  • When completing your FAFSA, you and all required contributors (spouse, parent, and/or parent spouse, as applicable) will provide consent for the import of federal tax information into your FAFSA.
  • If you have questions or need help, please contact our office.

What types of aid can I get?

There are a lot of options to pay for your education, and knowing what’s out there and what you qualify for can help you make the best financial decisions for your needs.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

In addition to meeting other eligibility factors, you must make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) towards the completion of your degree each year to qualify for financial aid. SAP includes policies regarding your GPA, credit completion, term completion and maximum credit requirements.
