The Career Closet is a professional clothing-lending program designed for all ISU students, in partnership with the ISU Career Center and the Division of Student Affairs. We provide high-quality, like-new clothing that aligns with the latest trends in professional attire.
Our services are tailored to assist students as they transition from college to the workforce, including:
- Career fairs
- In-person job and graduate school interviews
- Initial career wardrobe needs
- Any other events requiring professional attire
In addition, Student Veterans can access specialized resources to refine their career and major choices, enhance job search strategies, and prepare for graduation. Our services for veterans include:
- Career interest and academic major exploration with a Career Counselor
- Resume writing assistance
- Interview skills and professional dress guidance
- Job search support

Donations Welcome
Donations to the Career Closet are always appreciated!
We are currently seeking new or gently used professional business attire and accessories for both men and women, preferably in current styles. Please ensure that clothing items are clean before donating. Hosiery should be new and in its original packaging.
Monetary contributions to support the maintenance and enhancement of the Career Closet are also greatly valued. These donations are managed through the ISU Foundation. To direct your gift to the Veteran Student Services Center Career Closet, please indicate this preference on your pledge form.
