Class Schedule Spring 2020


Beginning Stained Glass

Mondays, Session I – Feb. 3rd – March 16th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

                 Session II – March 30th – May 4th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

$65 plus supplies FOR MEMBERS

$80 plus Supplies FOR NON-MEMBERS

Instructor – Steve Paris

Students will learn the basics of stained glass through pattern layout, glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering.  Projects will be completed using both foil and lead cane methods.  The instructor will call you a week before the first class to discuss materials so you will have time to purchase them before the first class starts.


Kids Clay After School Program (Kindergarten and up)

Tuesdays, Session I – Feb. 4th – Feb. 25th, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

                  Session II – March 3rd – March 31st, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

                  Session III – April 7th – April 28th, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

$40 per session

Instructor: Aubri Matkin

Students will learn basic hand building techniques. Class includes clay, glaze, and instruction. Parental contact information and prompt pick up of students is required. Scholarships available upon request. 

This program is made possible through support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. 




Beginning Pottery

Wednesdays, Feb. 5th – March 11th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

$60 plus clay and glaze fees FOR MEMBERS

$75 plus clay and glaze fees FOR NON-MEMBERS

Instructor – Mary Miller with several local potters

Students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel.  Students will learn various decoration techniques.  The students will also develop skills that will enable them to create stable and aesthetic pieces.


Intermediate Pottery

Wednesdays, April 1st – May 6th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

$65 plus clay and glaze fees FOR MEMBERS

$80 plus clay and glaze fees FOR NON-MEMBERS

Instructor – Phil Jenkins

This class is designed for students who have taken beginning pottery and would like to expand their skills. Students will learn many techniques to enhance their throwing.







Natural Dyes, Saturday, Feb. 8th, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.


Bookmaking, Saturday, Feb. 22nd, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.


Calligraphy, Saturday, March 7th, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.


Silk Scarves, Saturday, March 21st, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.


Eco-friendly Veggie Bags and Wax Wraps, Saturday, April 11th, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.


Resin and Glass Mosaic Frames, Saturday, April 25th, 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.



Registration Information


Class fee includes day-use fee for class times only. Day-use or membership can be purchased for additional days.


Class sizes are limited, so early enrollment is encouraged.  Call 282-3281 or come in to the Craft Shop to register and pay for a class.  Registration is complete when the fee is paid.  Minimum registration must be met 24 hours prior to the first class or it may be canceled.  You will be notified of any cancellations and your fee will be refunded.


The Craft Shop has equipment and instructors available to teach small group classes.  Call for pricing and to schedule.  Some classes have min/max number of participants.

Glaze a pre-thrown pot. Anytime - $5 plus day use fee. The Craft Shop will have a supply of pre-thrown bowls, mugs, & tiles for students to glaze.

The Craft Shop is a mixed-media studio environment that is open to students and the community. We encourage a hands on experience where individuals are able to develop their creativity and skills. We offer individual instruction, group activities, workshops, and classes as well as supplies. Use of the Craft Shop requires a day use fee or semester membership.
