Beginning Stained Glass
Mondays, Session I – Sept. 11 – Oct. 23, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Session II – Oct. 30 – Dec. 11, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Students will learn the basics of stained glass through pattern layout, glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. Projects will be completed using both foil and lead cane methods. The instructor will call you a week before the first class to discuss materials so you will have time to purchase them before the first class starts.

$60 plus clay and glaze fees

Students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel. Students will learn various decoration techniques. The students will also develop skills that will enable them to create stable and aesthetic pieces.
Hand building with clay
Thursdays, Oct. 5 – Oct. 26, 6:30- 8:30 p.m.
$40 plus clay and glaze fees
Instructor – Brent Lowman
Students will learn the basics of hand building with ceramic clay as well as glazing techniques.
Thursdays, Nov. 2 – Dec. 14, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
$65 plus clay and glaze fees
Instructor – Mary Miller with several local potters
This class is designed for students who have taken beginning pottery and would like to expand their skills. We will offer demonstrations from several local potters and students will learn many techniques to enhance their throwing.

Class fee includes day-use fee for class times only. Day-use or membership can be purchased for additional days.
Class sizes are limited, so early enrollment is encouraged. Call 282-3281 or come in to the Craft Shop to register for a class. Registration is complete when the fee is paid. Minimum registration must be met 24 hours prior to the first class or it may be canceled. You will be notified of any cancellations and your fee will be refunded.
The Craft Shop has equipment and instructors available to teach small group classes. Call for pricing and to schedule. Some classes have min/max number of participants.

Glaze a pre-thrown pot. Anytime - $5 plus day use fee. The Craft Shop will have a supply of pre-thrown bowls, mugs, & tiles for students to glaze.

The Craft Shop is a mixed-media studio environment that is open to students and the community. We encourage a hands on experience where individuals are able to develop their creativity and skills. We offer individual instruction, group activities, workshops, and classes as well as supplies. Use of the Craft Shop requires a day use fee or semester membership.
