A Title IX Campaign Highlighting Healthy Relationships and Behaviors
Campaign Info
Have you noticed the white and gray posters around campus? Beginning in October 2023, the Title IX Office has begun running a campaign to illustrate behaviors within relationships that help encourage healthy boundaries and clear communication. This is running in conjunction with the "Romance is Not..." campaign that we started in Spring of 2023. You can learn more about that campaign on its website.
Each poster has a QR code that links to a story providing context for the behavior mentioned on the poster, as well as a small written section that gives additional information discussing the ways in which the scenario is positive. You can also access these stories on this website.
Campaign Goals
This campaign aims to help show various ways students can be respectful to partners, classmates and colleagues while navigating diverse relationships. It emphasizes the importance of consent, communication and positive sexuality. If you would like to learn more about these topics, we have included additional resources at the bottom of the page.
If you are experiencing sex-based discrimination or violence, resources are available and linked at the bottom of this page.
What is positive sexuality?
Positive sexuality is an approach to discussing sexual relationships that emphasizes consent and open-mindedness. It focuses on the value of respecting both your own and other's sexual preferences. We have developed this campaign through the lens of positive sexuality. Idaho State University's student body is wide-ranging and there are many different configurations of relationships, and it is important to show that so long as consent, respect, and communication are present, these relationships are acceptable and healthy.
