Virginia Barnett Appointed Interim Director for TRIO Student Support Services

The Student Affairs team is pleased to announce that Virginia Barnett has accepted the position of Interim Director for TRIO Student Support Services, effective September 5, 2023. Ms. Barnett's experience and dedication to student success make her an ideal candidate to lead the TRIO SSS program during this period of transition.

With a decade of experience in the College of Arts and Letters at Idaho State University, Ms. Barnett has consistently demonstrated her commitment to helping students achieve their academic and personal goals. Her background as both an Advising Coordinator and a University Studies Specialist has equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique challenges that students face as they navigate their higher education journeys.

Ms. Barnett's most recent role as the Advising Coordinator for the largest college at Idaho State University has showcased her exceptional skills in coordinating advising efforts and facilitating student support services. Her expertise in advising and program development will undoubtedly strengthen the TRIO Student Support Services unit, allowing us to enhance our commitment to student success.
