Veteran Student Services Center

Our VA VITAL Peer Mentor Team, under the leadership of Social Work-senior student, Jesse Case, developed a simple and effective online survey that they sent to Veteran and military-connected students to determine their needs and current emotional status.

They have received nearly 100 responses that they have addressed personally. Many were minor, some were procedural, while others were significant and timely. Utilizing the resources of the university, the Veterans Administration, and the Veteran Student Services Center partners, they have been able to offer assistance and support. We are extremely proud of their efforts in outreach and establishing their reputation as an effective peer-support program. Kudos to Jesse, Zach, and Travis for truly leading with the Bengal Spirit in a time of adversity.
