New Student Orientation

We are in an unprecedented season at Idaho State University. The COVID-19 protocols have created a unique opportunity to protect the health of our community while also ensuring that student support services like New Student Orientation are still available for the transition of our newest Bengals.

Effective immediately, the Office of New Student Programs will be adjusting 2020 New Student Orientation plans in the following manner: all in-person New Student Orientation programs for all ISU centers will take place in August rather than the previously scheduled summer dates.

New 2020 Dates of New Student Orientation

• Twin Falls: Thursday, August 6
• Idaho Falls: Friday, August 7
• Meridian: Tuesday, August 11
• Pocatello: Thursday, August 13 - Sunday, August 16

The advising and registration of incoming freshmen will NOT be held within New Student Orientation, but will instead be managed in other capacities by Central Academic Advising.

Information regarding this schedule will be disseminated to incoming new undergraduate Bengals and their families through printed mail, emails, text messages, and the New Student Orientation website.

A campus briefing of our new plans for the live program will be offered in an Open Forum (time to be determined as soon as we are released from the "shelter-in-place" directive).

We will also continue to communicate via email with students and with ISU campus partners regarding any necessary university response to COVID-19 that may require adaptations to our current plans.
