Making It Happen Every Day
Our director of Disability Services, Karina Mason Rorris, passed along a shout-out from one of our ISU instructors, commending three of our staff who work quietly in classrooms, day after day, to ensure our students have an opportunity to learn. Nicole, Kimberly, and Emily--we love what you do!
I'd like to take a moment to commend the two ADA ASL interpreters and one notetaker that I had in my classroom last semester.
Nicole Stanton, Kimberly Swanson (ASL interpreters) and Emily Logue (notetaker) all did a wonderful job in the classroom. Though I had never had so many ADA people in the room as I taught, their presence was never an inhibitor in the classroom for me or my students. In fact, their presence contributed to class lectures and discussions. Their behavior was always professional and courteous, and I truly believe the class was a better experience for all due to their presence.
We at ISU are fortunate to have such great talent working in our ADA office.
Thanks for everything,
Will Donovan
