Enrollment Management
April 15, 2020
Financial Aid & Scholarships, Admissions, Orientation, and the Registrars office have adjusted deadlines, programs, and services to meet the needs of our students. Financial Aid & Scholarships extended scholarship deadlines to June 1 and acceptance deadlines to July 1. We also recently posted a BOSS tutorial on the website to help students apply (https://www.isu.edu/media/libraries/scholarships/How-To-Apply-in-BOSS.pdf). We are also developing a Zoom virtual session to assist students with FAFSA FAQs, completing forms, and processing summer and fall applications.
Admissions is adding virtual sessions for students on Next steps, Financial Aid, Future Students, Transfer Students, Talk to a Current Student, and Student Panel, as well as one for registration and advising. We are developing a calendar to which all of these will be posted (including evening and weekend sessions) and that students can join at their convenience. Finally, we’re contacting all admitted students with personal phone calls to help them navigate next steps.
Orientation letters and emails were sent to parents and students letting them know that orientation will be in August and how to sign up for pre-orientation.
The Registrar’s Office has been developing a Tuition Lock letter, letting students know that requirements are waived for the spring semester and they will be eligible next fall if they return. A letter will also go out to fall 2020 students, outlining the program and the rules.
