Founded in 1952, this partnership of educational and professional institutions, social welfare agencies, and private citizens is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in this country. - Idaho State Board of Social Work Examiners
Social workers are regulated in Idaho and are required to be licensed. The Board helps protect the public health, safety and welfare through the licensure and regulation of those who practice social work in Idaho.
