The Sponsored Programs & Support team assists faculty and staff as they develop proposals for external funding for sponsored research, scholarly and community service projects and post-award assistance.

Research Outreach and Compliance

The Research Outreach and Compliance team is available to assist you. See us about Animal Use and IACUC, Human Subjects and IRB; Biosafety, Export Control, including travel "out of country". For info about Responsible Conduct of Research; Financial Conflict of Interest in Sponsored Projects.  We also coordinate STEM Diversity and Outreach, Undergraduate Research, the CITI Training program, the research use of controlled substances and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

Technology Commercialization

Innovation & Collaboration - ISU's talented researchers and students push the boundaries of innovation independently and collaboratively with private-sector partners. To promote scientific developments and develop partnerships the Technology Commercialization office is available to support these endeavors.

Research Council

The ISU Research Council (RC) consists of representative membership across the ISU research community. The RC provides a forum for internal discussion, gathers and disseminates information to the faculty, and provides faculty voice on matters pertaining to research, scholarship, and creative activity.

Radiation Safety

The Radiation Safety Department is dedicated to ensure the safe receipt, use, storage and disposal of radioactive materials and to the safe operation of radiation machines. The Radiation Safety Department is authorized to intervene to prevent hazardous conditions from developing or to eliminate existing unsafe conditions on any matter related to radiation safety.
