Biographical Sketch
Kaitie is a new Masters student as of the summer of 2024 within Dr. Colden Baxter’s Stream Ecology Center. She graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2011 with a B.S. degree in Environmental Science. Since then, she has worked in the natural resources field in multiple states to gain as much experience as possible. Before starting at ISU, Kaitie dedicated the previous nine years to fisheries research out of Eastern Oregon with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and Western Idaho with the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission. Now a Master’s student, she will continue to build her experience and knowledge through her research on ecological and water issues in the Fort Hall Bottoms in collaboration with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Department of Fish and Wildlife. When not conducting research or at her desk, you can find Kaitie adventuring with her husband and their corgi (Finn).
