Mass on a Spring

This picture shows the demonstration set up. Needed are one of the large weight hangers, the slotted masses, a spring, the PASCO motion sensor and interface, and rods and clamps. Also needed and not shown is a computer. The weight hanger needs to be aligned with the motion sensor. This is easier to do if the hanger low when aligned and then carefully raised.This picture shows a close up of the motion sensor, the interface and the needed weights.
