Ball and Concave Mirror

Shown above is the setup for this experiment. A spherical mirror is placed on a stand. A brightly colored ball is then placed such that is is hanging just in front of the focal point. The ball is swung back and forth through the focal point. The effect is interesting. Shown below are pictures of the ball outside of the focal point and inside the focal point. The image is inverted in one and uninverted in the other.
