Materials:

The apparatus consists of two rods connected at right angles. The thinner rod has eyelets spaced evenly along its length. A person's grip is tested based on how far along the length of the thin rod a 1 kg weight can be supported when holding the rod horizontally. Two of these weights can be used if necessary.
