Candle Ladder

The candle ladder is used to demonstrate the density of fluids. Note that dry ice is needed for this demonstration, even though it isn't pictured. Light the candles on the ladder and then pour the fog from the dry ice down the ladder. Sincethe carbon dioxide vapor is more dense than the air around, it will flow down the board and extinguish the candles.
