Description of Healthcare Interpreting Training
The program for Promoting Equity in Healthcare Interpreting has created a series of modules on medical interpreting. These are being offered at no cost to participants and supported by an RSA training grant.
Below is a list of modules in Canvas including the topics, the dates when the modules open and close, and a link to the modules in Canvas. Participants can self enroll using the codes for each module below.
The modules should take about 5 hours to complete and participants will be awarded .5 CEUs by RID in Professional Studies for each module. BEI CEUs may also be available, please check with the relevant CEU authority in your state. There are a total of 14 modules and 7 CEUS for completing all of the modules. Participants do not have to complete them all and they will receive 0.5 CEUS per module (with one module on HIPAA worth .4 CEUs and a Medical Ethics module worth .6 CEUs).
When the enrollment limit is reached, we will post that the module is full here. We will offer the modules again in 2025.
All of the modules are full as of May 2024.
