Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing

For students either who have no prior nursing experience or are currently licensed practical nurses who are seeking their baccalaureate degree in nursing

Accelerated Bachelor of Science In Nursing

For individuals who have a bachelor's degree in another discipline and wish to make a career change

For currently licensed registered nurses who want to obtain a baccalaureate degree

Graduate Programs

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing

Designed with a research emphasis dedicated to extending nursing science and improving the delivery of health care. Entry into the Ph.D. program is an earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

The Doctor of Nursing Practice will prepare clinical leaders for comprehensive nursing practice within a changing health care system.

Master Of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.)

Prepares the graduate for a position in a nurse educator role in a variety of health care settings.

FNP to PMHNP Certificate

Designed to extend the practice and expertise of licensed FNP’s.

Graduate Nursing Education Certificate

Prepares the nurse to provide education in a variety of settings.

Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP)

Prepares professional nurse anesthetists ready to meet the healthcare needs of Idaho and beyond.

Finances

Cost of Attendance

Costs for tuition and fees at ISU are listed on the Cost of Attendance web page on the Finance and Administration website.

Professional Fees

In addition to ISU tuition and fees, a professional fee is assessed for all undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Nursing. Professional fees for the nursing programs are used to support faculty salaries, instruction support services, durable & disposable equipment and supplies, faculty and staff program travel, capital equipment and a reserve for maintenance and purchase of major capital items.

Scholarships

The School of Nursing annually awards over $100,000 in scholarships, and the School of Nursing scholarship application is available annually in April in the Bengal Online Scholarship System (BOSS).
