Profile

Dr. Kristie Karroum is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Nursing DNP program. She has over twenty years of nursing experience in healthcare, specializing in maternal-infant health.

Dr. Karroum is a member of American Association for Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners of Idaho and the United States Lactation Consultant Association. She was the recipient of the 2021 USLCA National Changemaker award and currently serves on the board of the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition where she shares the mission to facilitate a community and statewide landscape that protects, supports and promotes breastfeeding as the biological norm for a healthier Idaho.
