Program Description
Enhance your career with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Nuclear Engineering Technology Management degree.
This course is asynchronous, online. It is primarily for people who have already completed the Nuclear Operations program and are gaining experience in the field or for former military members who have certifications within Nuclear Operations.
Meeting Industry Standards
The BAS in Nuclear Engineering Technology Management program prepares students to meet industry standards for supervisory and management positions.
The nuclear industry personnel selection and training requirements provide specific and detailed guidance and the skills and knowledge that operations leaders in industry must have. In addition to appropriate numbers of years of industry experience, Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and other nuclear facility management positions require supervisory skills training. The BAS in Nuclear Engineering Technology Management program has given special consideration to the requirements in DOE O 426 to ensure the course work in this degree covers all of the required topics below:

Industry professionals who wish to evaluate their work experience for educational credit should use ISU's Prior Learning Assessment process. DOE and NRC approved training programs that have led to reactor operator licenses, glovebox operator qualifications, and other appropriate technician and operator training can be used to qualify for multiple credits within the Nuclear Operations Technology programs. Credit can also be transferred from Navy nuclear training via a Joint Service Transcript, and other institutions if you apply as a transfer student.
