ISU Credit Union donates $1,000 to support Sexual Harassment Training Program for Athletic Training Education Program

September 20, 2018

Idaho State University Credit Union donated $1,000 to support a sexual harassment training program that will be implemented in the ISU athletic training program by Dani Moffit.

Moffit, an associate professor and program director of the Master of Science in Athletic Training program, conducted research that indicated that almost 60% of athletic training student respondents did not receive sexual harassment training through their university or college.

“The money is going toward creating a Sexual Harassment Training Module Design and a place to host this module,” said Moffit. “The hope is that this module will be available to all athletic training programs across the country.”

Moffit hopes that her training program will educate students on how to recognize and react to sexual discrimination and harassment.

“The specific aim of this project will be to provide knowledge to athletic training students in what constitutes sexual discrimination and harassment and how to report said discrimination and harassment,” said Moffit.

Moffit hopes to begin implementing the program next fall.
