Jason Appelman Publishes True-Crime Memoir

Idaho State University visiting assistant professor Jason Appelman has published a true-crime memoir detailing his investigation of Michigan’s infamous Oakland County child murders.
The book, entitled “The Kill Jar,” explores cover-ups and corruption, chilling police discoveries and Appelman’s own experiences with violence. Published by Simon & Schuster, it is available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other book retailers.
A screenwriter, poet and former private investigator, Appelman began instructing cross-departmental classes at ISU this fall. He is currently teaching Global Human Trafficking, Critical Reading and Writing, and Multi Platform Storytelling courses.
