Johnathan Fardy Publishes Book

Jonathan Fardy has published his first book, Laruelle and Non-Photography. This book provides a critical introduction to François Laruelle’s writings on photography, with a particular focus on his two most important books on photography: The Concept of Non-Photography and Photo-Fiction, a Non-Standard Aesthetics

He is also presenting at the Second International Conference on Jean Baudrillard in England Sept. 3-5. The conference is being jointly hosted by Oxford University and the School of Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. His paper titled, "Fatality and Utopia: Baudrillard and Laruelle" is a comparative study of each thinker's "non-dialectical" method. A selection of papers will be published as a collected volume with Edinburgh University Press.
